Helsinki Spain took part in the Third Conference of OCUD: The role of universities as development actors in the post-2015 agenda.
Granada, 7 November 2014.- Within the activities of Universities for Poverty Alleviation, Helsinki España has participated in the Third Conference of the Observatory of the University Development Cooperation (OCUD) that took form of a two day workshop and discussion with the focus on the role of the university as a development actor.
Sponsored by the University of Granada, these days have served to reaffirm the role of the university as a major player within the system of cooperation, above all in the formulation and transmission of knowledge, training and research. Additionally, the university community has proclaimed the advantage of working together with other national and international actors which allows them privileged influence in building an engaging citizenship.
The Third Conference of the Observatory of the University Development Cooperation (OCUD) has been jointly organized by the Commission for Internationalization and Cooperation (CICUE) from the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation (AACID) and the University of Granada.
